Fred Page Cup: This year the Woodstock Slammers are hosing the Fred Page Cup hockey tournament at the AYR Motor Centre from May 4th until May 8th! Check out for a full schedule.

Spring into Woodstock Women’s Show: is Saturday, May 7th from 9 AM-4 PM in the AYR Motor Centre Field House. Admission is $5 per person, and kids under 8 are free! Sponsored by Countryside 4H Club. There will be 165 booths with something for everyone! For more info please email

Summer Registration Night: Wednesday, May 11th from 6 to 8 PM in the Field house, the Woodstock Recreation Department will be hosting registration night for the members of the community of Woodstock and surrounding areas. This is a free opportunity for families to come check out all the programs, activities and special events offered during the summer months by not only the Woodstock Recreation Department but other organizations as well.

Western Valley Adult Bowling: Thursday, May 12th from 10 am-12 pm at Woodstock Bowlacade. Cost is $5/person, includes bowling, shoes and light refreshments. Great social time with other adults from communities from Plaster Rock to Nackawic.

WHS Party Program: Drinking & Driving intervention program for students in grades 9 & 10 at Woodstock High School will be taking place in the AYR Motor Centre Arena on May 18th & 19th.

Centre for Coaching Education Awards Banquet: Thursday, May 19 held at the Florenceville Curling Club; Social at 6pm, Dinner and Ceremony at 6:30pm. Tickets: $15/person Purchase at AYR Motor Centre. Awards will be given to those who contribute to the Canadian sport system. This year awards will be given for Tom Hanson Coach of the Year Memorial, Investors Group Volunteer Sport Administrator, and Youth Achievement Scholarship.

Spring Fling Dance: Friday, May 20th from 5:30-7:30 pm at AYR Motor Centre. For intellectually & physically challenged adults. Wear your favorite spring outfit. DJ John Allen entertaining; Refreshments provided. FREE event.

Spring Run-off 5K: Race location is the Woodstock Farm & Craft Market on King St. and running the trail. Registration starts 8-8:45am and race begins at 9am. Registration: $10.   Small Strides, Healthy Lives 500m/1K Race for 14yrs and under, no entry fee. We encourage everyone to come out to run or walk. Prizes and refreshments at the finish line.

Pickle Ball Tournament: Players from clubs around the province are invited to an afternoon of Pickle Ball. Registration: $20. Lots of games guaranteed and a healthy snack break provided. Must register in advance….registration is limited.

Couch to 5K Training Program: This 10-week training program is for those interested in making a commitment to training to run the 5K distance in the Tim Horton’s Joe McGuire Road Race 2016 on July 30th . The fee for the program is $60, which includes the registration for the Joe. Must register in advance.

Woodstock Sports Wall of Fame: The induction ceremony will be held on May 28th at 2 pm at the AYR Motor Centre Gallery. The Woodstock Sports Wall of Fame is a shrine to hometown heroes. The wall is a lasting tribute to those teams, individuals and builders who have made major contributions to the development and advancement of sports in the Shiretown.

Operation Olave: An annual two day event hosted by Girl Guides of Canada on the grounds and in the arena of the AYR Motor Centre from May 27th to the 28th.
