Western Valley Achievement Games: On Thursday, June 2nd at the AYR Motor Centre, this event is for those in our community with physical and intellectual disabilities. This event is for those in the areas of Plaster Rock to Nackawic with physical and intellectual disabilities. The Achievement Games are an opportunity for these individuals to socialize and participate in a variety of recreational sports including a dance. Contact Jill Dunnett, Recreation Program Coordinator, jill.dunnett@town.woodstock.nb.ca for more information. Lunch will be provided.

 Tennis Clinic with Mark Peppin: Participants at all levels are invited to come in for an informative clinic with Marc Peppin on June 2nd  His background is that he is a member of the NB Sports Hall of Fame and has been playing and coaching for several years. Cost is $20. Youth clinic is 5-6pm and for adults 6-7pm. Spots are limited. Please register in advance.

Parks and Trails Day: Community members are encouraged to get out and enjoy our many local Parks and Trails. On June 4th walk, run, or bike.

Tennis Tournament: Marc Peppin Technifibre Mixed Doubles Fun Tennis Tournament. Open to all skill levels. McKinley Tennis Courts (located behind the Grand Stand in Connell Park) on June 4th 12:30-4:30 pm. Registration is $25. Must register in advance. This event will be cancelled if it is raining.

FREE Public Swim: SPONSORED BY HIGHLIFT AUTO SERVICES- Sunday, June 5th from 1:30-3 pm.

Art Classes: Felt: Sunday, June 5th & 12th Students will learn how to wet felt a landscape. Ages 5-7 yrs :1-2pm ($20) 8+ 2:30-4:30 pm ($50). All artist quality supplies are included. Email nicole.rahim@gmail.com for any questions or concerns. Registration in advance 325-4671.

 Special Olympics Youth Program: The Active Start & FUNdamentals program is for individuals with a mental disability between the ages of 2 and 12. One of the goals of this program is to work with young children in order to develop their social and motor skills early, so they can continue to develop these skills as they grow. The program will start on June 9 and will run every Thursday from 6-7 pm with the exception of Jun 23, Aug 4, and Sept 1 due to special events being held at the AYR Motor Centre.

 Video Dance: Thursday, June 16th from 5:30-7:30 pm at AYR Motor Centre. For intellectually & physically challenged adults.   DJ John Allen entertaining; Refreshments provided. FREE event.

 Registration for Summer Swim Lessons (July Session only): June 20th will be the first day to register for our July session of swim lessons. This will be offering the Swim for Life program from Duck (4 months) to Level 10. Dates for our July session are the 11th to the 22nd.

 Summer Swim Team Program: This program is designed for youth ages 6 -19 years of age that have the ability to swim in the deep end at least 25 meters (1 lap of the pool). Participants will learn and practice stroke techniques of all 4 stroked and will have the opportunity to participate in swim meets on Saturdays throughout the summer, but is not mandatory. The registration fee is $100 and includes a team cap and towel. The program starts June 28th and participants will meet Tuesdays & Thursdays- times will be decided depending on the size of the group.

 Youth Tennis Program: Every Tuesday for five weeks, starting June 28th from 10-11:30 AM at the McKinley Courts youth will meet and participate in Tennis lessons. Registration fee is $65 per child. The program is designed for youth ages 8 and up. Youth will have the opportunity to learn skills and techniques through each lesson. There will also be fun games at the end of each lesson.

 Let’s Play @ Poole St.: This is an initiative to get kids outside and playing supervised, low-organized and active games at the park on Poole St.! This is a completely free activity and is being piloted to encourage outdoor play and youth being active! Send your kids out to join our Summer Students for a few hours of fun in the sun and tons of games from 11AM to 1PM! Please remember, that is weather is bad- rain or thunder- the games will be cancelled until next week!

 Youth Golf Program: Every Thursday for 6 weeks starting June 30th (excluding the week of Western Valley in motion Games) from 10-11:30 AM at the Covered Bridge Golf & Country Club. Registration fee is $90 per participant and includes transportation to and from the golf course. This program is designed for youth ages 9 and up. Youth will learn the technical skills of the game through the use of the course and driving range and will receive group feedback and support from Assistant Pro, Wade Lapage.
