 Inclusive Swim Tuesdays and Fridays Starting July 5th From 10:00am-11:00am A Parent/ Guardian or Support Worker is required to be in the water with the participant when: The participant requires a floatation device Is unable to swim alone Is under the age of 5. Cost: $3 per swimmer (helper included)

Let’s Play @ Poole St.: This is an initiative to get kids outside and playing supervised, low-organized and active games at the park on Pool St.! This is a completely free activity and is being piloted to encourage outdoor play and youth being active! Send your kids out to join our Summer Students for a few hours of fun in the sun and tons of games from 11AM to 1PM! Please remember, that is weather is bad- rain or thunder- the games will be cancelled until next week!

FREE Public Swim: SPONSORED BY HIGHLIFT AUTO SERVICES- Sunday, August 7th from 1:30pm-3:30 pm

Swim Lessons: Aug 8th to 19th. We’re excited to launch our new ‘Swim For Life’ program developed through the Lifesaving Society. This program includes the Canadian Swim to Survive standards. More emphasis is put on personal floatation devices and water safety. We feel that the benefits of this program will be to create a great progression into our Lifesaving and Lifeguarding programs.

This is a supervised program that provides organized activities for kids at the AYR Motor Centre Field House as well as parks and sport fields. Bring a water bottle, indoor sneakers, swim gear, and snacks for the afternoon. CANCELLED August 2-4 Due to Old Home Week

Busy Bees: Offered every Wednesday 7:30am – 12:30pm for ages 6-8yrs. This is a supervised program that provides organized activities for kids at the AYR Motor Centre Field House as well as parks and sport fields. Bring a water bottle, indoor sneakers, swim gear, and snacks for the afternoon. CANCELLED August 3 Due to Old Home Week

Epic Glow Gotcha: This game of epic glow tag is for kids ages 12-14, and will be held on Wednesday August 10th with check in at 8:30 pm and the game starting at 9 pm at the Woodstock Golf & Curling Club. The cost is $10 per player, and includes onetime entrance into the game; players can purchase additional lives for $5 each within first hour of the game. There will be s’mores to follow the tag! The winner will be the last player with their glow bracelet still attached.

 Special Olympics Youth Program: Every Thursday from 6-7pm in the field house beginning June 9th (with the exception of Aug 4 and Sept 1). This program is for those ages 2-12yrs with intellectual challenges. Participants will enjoy a variety of fun activities and games. Summer Art Camp for young artists: “A little bit of this and a little bit of that”. Students will be exposed to everything from painting to 3D art. Let your child learn new mediums and techniques that will let their confidence soar! Open to ages 5-7yrs. August 15th to 19th. 9am-12pm. Cost: $170. Must register in advance….limited spaces available.

Into the Wild! Day Camp: This day camp will be offered to youth ages 11-14 starting Monday, August 15th and ending Friday, August 19th. Drop off is at 8:00 AM sharp, and pick up will be at 5:00 PM, if a camper needs to be supervised past 5 PM then a note needs to accompany the child to camp on this day or arrangements need to be made prior. Campers will be dropped off and picked up at the AYR Motor Centre lobby, but will be walking to and from the camp site each day- so they should dress appropriately for the weather. Please see the camp brochure for more details on the camp itinerary, registration is $220 per camper and campers will need to bring lunch with them each day.

 Glow Dance: Thursday, August 18th from 5:30-7:30 pm at AYR Motor Centre. For intellectually & physically challenged adults.   DJ John Allen entertaining; Refreshments provided. FREE event.

Movie in the Park: There will be a family friendly movie shown in Connell Park for all ages on Thursday, August 25th at 9 PM! Cost is $2 per person, and everyone should bring their own chair or blanket to sit on. Snacks will be sold concession style & in the gazebo. *Rain date will be Friday, August 26th!

Back to School Bootcamp – with your in-store dietician:  Aug 31st at the Atlantic Superstore Community Rm, 6-7pm, a FREE session to give tips and tricks for school lunches and snacks that are nutritious and delicious! Limited spots are available.
